fear NO MORE

Reflect

As a child, I was fearful of heights. There was something about seeing the vast amount of space between myself and the ground that would cause me to tremble. My hands and body would sweat. My mind would freeze with overwhelming thought of  “what if” scenarios leading to a fall.

As I grew older and matured in the Spirit, I began to understand that without a genuine relationship with God, whatever takes shape in the mind will almost certainly manifest in the flesh. Our thoughts, when left to their own devices, often drift toward fear, doubt, and the imagined dangers that seem all too real.

But the Spirit of God overcomes what the flesh fears. His presence steadies what shakes, quiets what trembles, and reminds us that fear was never meant to be our home. He anchors us in truth, lifts us above what once overwhelmed us, and teaches our hearts to rest where His peace dwells. We were created in His likeness. The essence of God fills our lungs, and the imprint of His courage is intertwined within our very being. Our limitations, what we see as barriers, gaps, or unsteady ground, are often the very places where God proves His strength. Where we see danger, He offers assurance. Where we see distance, He builds bridges. Where we see heights that intimidate, He sees elevations meant to grow us. Fear may rise, but it cannot reign. Not when God is the foundation beneath our feet and the breath within our chest. So why let fear speak louder than the God who lives within you? Look again… there’s beauty in the places you once feared.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
